The need to cope with new challenges and continuous improvement in the field of supervision of civil aviation operations has motivated the two authorities to formalize technical cooperation. Areas of cooperation include all aspects of international civil aviation, including legislation, guidance and technical material, exchange of experts, identification of joint projects etc.
Considering that due to the size of its civil aviation industry UAE is a key stakeholder in the international aviation arena, GCAA UAE will also support the participation of Kosovo CAA in various international fora.
GCAA UAE is responsible for the safety regulation, economic regulation of civil aviation and the provision of air navigation services in the country. The aviation industry in the UAE includes six international airports and five carriers with scheduled international air traffic. Air traffic in the country in 2012 was 118,318,600 passengers.
