Dita Ndërkombëtare e Aviacionit Civil festohet që nga viti 1994, në 50 vjetorin e themelimit të Organizatës Ndërkombëtare të Aviacionit Civil (ICAO). Sipas iniciativës së ICAO-s, Asambleja e Përgjithshme e Kombeve të Bashkuara u mbajt në vitin 1996 ku u njoh zyrtarisht 7 dhjetori si Dita Ndërkombëtare e Aviacionit Civil në sistemin e OKB-së.

Qëllimi i Ditës Ndërkombëtare të Aviacionit Civil është të krijojë dhe forcojë ndërgjegjësimin global për rëndësinë e aviacionit civil ndërkombëtar në zhvillimin social dhe ekonomik të vendeve, rolin unik të ICAO-s në ndihmën e vendeve për të bashkëpunuar për të arritur zhvillim dhe përparim të mirëfilltë global në shërbim të gjithë njerëzimit.

Happy International Civil Aviation Day

On the occasion of the celebration of December 7, International Civil Aviation Day, the Civil Aviation Authority of Kosovo sends sincere congratulations to all aviation organizations, associations, institutions and individuals involved in the civil aviation industry.

International Civil Aviation Day has been celebrated since 1994, on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). According to the initiative of ICAO, the General Assembly of the United Nations was held in 1996 where December 7 was officially recognized as the International Day of Civil Aviation in the UN system.

The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to create and strengthen global awareness of the importance of international civil aviation in the social and economic development of countries, and the unique role of ICAO in helping countries to cooperate and achieve genuine global growth and progress in the service of all humanity.
