On 20 November 2025, the Acting Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Kosovo (CAA), Mr. Arianit Islami, together with his colleagues, received in a meeting the Chief Executive Officer of Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” LKIA, Mr. Gokhan Acikgoz, and the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Levent Kaylak.
The airport representatives congratulated Mr. Islami on his appointment as Acting Director General of the CAA.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of common topics related to operational safety, ongoing and planned infrastructure projects, and preparations to accommodate the continuously increasing number of passengers, as well as the growing interest of airlines in increasing flight frequencies or launching new routes.

Both sides agreed that a close and professional cooperation between the airport operator and the CAA, as the aviation regulator, is essential for overcoming challenges, meeting continuously evolving international aviation standards, and fulfilling passengers’ expectations for safe and efficient air transport to and from the Republic of Kosovo.
