Approved Aerodromes
In order to regulate the safety of aerodromes for the public civil use, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Kosovo approves the aerodromes under Regulation No. 3/2012 on Approved Aerodromes, amended and supplemented with the Regulation No. 10/2018, and in accordance with the standards of Annex 14 of the Chicago Convention. According to this regulation the term “aerodrome” includes heliports, airfields, and gliding fields.
These Regulations applies to aerodromes available for public civilian use which:
- Are exempted in accordance with article 5 of Regulation 17/2017 on requirements and administrative procedures related to aerodromes,
- Have paved runway less than 800 m, and where operations using instrument approach or departure procedures are provided,
- Have a runway intended for the operation of aircraft using visual approach procedures or an instrument approach procedure to a point beyond which the approach may continue in visual meteorological conditions ( non-instrument runway),
- Have a non-paved runway,
- Serve exclusively helicopters where operations using visual approach or departure procedures are provided.
