Certified Aerodromes

For the purpose of regulating the safety of aerodromes available for public use, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Kosovo certifies the aerodromes under Regulation No. 17/2017 on requirements and administrative procedures related to aerodromes, in accordance with the certification standards according to requirements set out by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

All aerodromes in which the annual traffic exceeds 10,000 passengers a year, or has more than 850 aircraft movements per year for transportation of goods, must be certified by the CAA.

The latest versions of “Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC)” and “Certification Specifications (CS’s)” are available on official EASA website:

Basic conditions that must be met for certification of the aerodrome are described in detail in the above mentioned regulation.
