Drones
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sometimes referred as “drones”) are increasingly being used in the Republic of Kosovo. Drones are mostly remotely piloted aerial vehicles. They are de jure aircraft models. Regulation No. 1/2017 requires that these aerial vehicles shall be registered in the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) register and be operated only with a special approval issued by the CAA. During the operations with drones the owner or operator shall have all the time the visual contact with the drone.
