News Republic of Kosovo admitted as full member in FAI

At the General Conference meeting of the International Federation of Aeronautics (FAI) held today, September 25, in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, following the recommendation of the Executive Board, Kosovo Aeronautical Federation has been admitted as full member of FAI by the absolute majority of votes. The only votes against were those of Spain and Serbia.

The Kosovo Aeronautical Federation (KAF) applied in April for membership in FAI, while after a review of the application, in June this year, the Executive Council of this organization had voted unanimously to answer positively to the temporary participation of KAF in international competitions.

Membership of the Republic of Kosovo in FAI will enable Kosovar aeronautical sportsmen to participate as equals in international competitions with athletes from more than 100 other countries.
