News Meeting with the Austrian Ambassador

On 9 October 2023, Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Arianit Islami, and his colleagues received in a meeting the Ambassador of Austria to Kosovo H.E. Mr. Georg Shnetzer and First Secretary Ms. Clarissa Castek.

During the discussion, Ambassador Schnetzer was interested in the normalization of Kosovo’s lower airspace, which would have a positive impact on the operating costs of Austrian airlines operating to Kosovo. Mr. Islami informed the Ambassador in detail about the latest developments regarding this topic, especially the air routes to Albania.

The two parties agreed to further this first meeting, which served as an introduction between the parties, by cooperating in areas of common interest in which the Austrian state can support the civil aviation regulator of Kosovo.
