News Meeting with representatives of the German Embassy

Acting Director General of the CAA, Mr. Arianit Islami, with colleagues, welcomed for a first informative meeting on October 25, 2023 Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Kosovo, Mr Matthias Conrad and Mr Kushtrim Nimani, Economic Affairs Officer at this Embassy.

The topic of the discussion was the process of using the new air routes linking Kosovo with Albania through the KUKAD and ARBER navigation points, which is expected to happen soon.

The use of these two points will have an impact on shortening the flight time from Central and Western Europe to Prishtina International Airport, reducing the operating costs of German airlines operating to Kosovo, as well as reducing the impact on the environment.

The parties exchanged their views on this process so that it can be concluded without additional delays. The parties agreed to monitor developments in this direction and continue further cooperation towards normalisation of the lower airspace of the Republic of Kosovo.
